Konner Kearney

Konner grew up fishing the smallmouth rich waters of Lake Michigan. This love for fishing drew him to the University of Wisconsin’s Fishing Team where he became Vice President his senior year.

As part of the University of Wisconsin Fishing Team, Konner had top 20 finishes in several BASS and FLW tournaments, including a 12th place finish at the 2013 Midwest Bassmaster College Series tournament.

Since graduation, Konner continues to be active in fishing tournaments, including serving as Tournament Director of the Madtown Bass Club out of Madison, Wisconsin.

Konner uses Contour Elite to help him locate active fish.  In a recent tournament on the Mississippi River, he did a search for “spring smallmouth” to locate steep ledges adjacent to spawning flats.  This lead him to a location that held two of his largest fish of the tournament (top picture on left).

During the fall of 2016, Konner caught Wisconsin’s Big Green Lake record smallmouth at 6.59 pounds (pictured to upper left).  Konner found it on one of the steepest breaks in the lake–an area he identified using Contour Elite.

“I use Contour Elite and Google Earth for 80% of my research prior to fishing tournaments.”–Konner Kearney
